GEMSTONE THERAPY TRAINING

At Lightstreams we have been studying gemstones and their therapeutic uses since 1990. We soon found that most people were having a difficult time understanding how a small stone or necklace could have any effect on their lives. So in 1993 we started teaching the basic principles of gemstone therapy. It was also necessary to teach a little about the energy systems of the various bodies. We consider the physical, emotional, memory, mental, and spiritual bodies to be separate for the purposes of understanding how the various gemstone therapies work. The energy systems include chakras, meridians, auras, as well as more physical systems such as the lymphatic, circulatory, endocrine, and nervous systems. These are all controlled and influenced by electrochemical and electrical-magnetic fields of energy. These fields are influenced by high quality gemstones due to their clear rates of vibration, similar to the way that a vibrating tuning fork will start another tuning fork of the same frequency to vibrate. The simplest therapy is to wear a necklace of a gemstone which either you or a therapist has chosen to best match the vibratory rate of the issue you wish to work with. This issue could be physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, or any combination.

The gemstone training classes are divided into three sections.

The first section is called Basic Gemstone Therapy and covers six commonly used gemstones and their therapeutic applications. One gemstone is covered each week. Topics such as chakras, energetic bodies (auras), sensitivity to gemstone and human energy fields, are also covered.

The second section covers a group of 12 gemstones, and covers vibrational healing, body energetics, and the use of intention. Elementary diagnostics and how to select the proper gemstones for an issue is covered.

The third group of eight classes is called Colored Stones. Gemstones are selected for the color (vibrational frequency) that they carry as well as for their overall vibratory rates. It covers color theory, the color ray gemstone necklaces, and many gemstones not covered in previous classes.

The classes are set up so that at least 50% of class time is experiential; including sensitivity training, handling the gemstones, and actually using them in a therapeutic setting.

Classes are held week nights from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Lightstreams, Seattle, Wa. Call 206.932.1671 for more information.

We are currently creating a workbook to enable people to learn gemstone therapy at home.

We have recently formed a new internship program where graduates of the gemstone course can attend advanced classes in gemstone therapy as well as use the therapy rooms here at Lightstreams to treat clients and practice with each other.
