During the Lockdown period of the Covid-19 pandemic March - July 2020, I had an ideal opportunity to explore the area where I live.
These pictures were all taken all within walking distance of my home in central Bristol. Most were scenes I encountered during early morning walks through the empty city centre, along the street, around the harbourside and through the parks. A few were taken in our small urban garden.
This collection of images is not an objective attempt to document the Lockdown and its impact on the city. It is simply a subjective record of things that caught my eye.
I found so much beauty in the heart of our city. Yet how easy it is to miss this unless we take time to “stand and stare”.
